Cape
Tribulation (Cape Trib), Far North Queensland
What
to do in Cape Tribulation, Queensland, Australia
Daintree
River to Cooktown
Things
to do from the Daintree River up to Cooktown. The main thing to
do is not very much. Try to take some time out in this remarkable
area. Slow down, take it easy and rest a while. Memories you take
with you will last you a lifetime but only if you allow yourself
the time to really experience this incredible place.
2 (2) The
Daintree Coast / Cape Tribulation, Far North Queensland
Cape
Tribulation, Far North Queensland
Where the rain forest
meets the reef. To merely say this place is beautiful is an understatement,
an injustice to the Cape Tribulation and all its friends and relatives.
I will try to think of a better word next time I go.
There is a special tranquillity
about the Daintree that pictures and words cannot describe. You
have to spend some in the Daintree to really appreciate its magical
appeal.
3 (-) The Daintree Rainforest,
Far North Queensland
The Daintree Rainforest
is home to the largest range of plants and animals on earth, within
the largest rainforest in Australia. The Daintree is one of the
most diverse and beautiful examples of Mother Nature on the planet.

Along the Coasts
Road bitumans component up to Cape Trib you'll see speed humps.
They are not for people but for the above who has yet to evolve
road sense. Cassowaries are endangered, please don't make it worse.
Slow down. If you want to see one get into the Daintree Forest with
a local guide.
17 (3) Do Nothing at
Daintree / Cape Tribulation
Err....so not
alot to add really. The Daintree Coast boasts the top nothings worth
not doing. So nothing much to add other than just do it...nothing
that is. Its not easy and takes practice but you'll get the hang
of it.
20 (79) The Coast Road,
Cairns to Cooktown
The Coast Road
runs from Cairns to Cooktown through the pristine Daintree rainforest.
Fulfils to romantic notion of driving around Australia. So rather
than dodging semi-trailers and road trains why not just focus on
the best bits.
21 (82) Bloomfield Track,
North of Cape Tribulation
It is possible to self
4WD Bloomfield Track but you risk missing out on experiencing the
surrounding scenery or getting yourself and passengers into trouble.
Let someone else do the work.

28 (19) Cooktown
Where Captain Cook came
ashore to fix his boat. Cooktown is worth a visit not only for the
history but more for the friendly relaxed nature of the place. If
you are in a hurry, grab a tour. If you can stay, you may find it
hard to leave.

greets the ocean along the coastline. You might even think this
is where the rainforest meets the sea and you would be right.
46 (16) Paddle To Snapper

Snapper Island is uninhabited,
filled with tropical rainforest and surrounded by magnificent coral
reef and white sandy beaches.

75 (21) Daintree Coast
Rainforest Board Walk
Fan Palms Board
Walk. After a fruit tasting go for civilised stroll through the
rainforest.
79 (11) Daintree Eco
Centre

Daintree Eco Centre is a very pleasant and informative way to spend
a few hours. The treetops look great. Its just, well, the Daintree
Eco Centre lacks a bit of punch. If you reach a state of chill down
then get down and get up and do it. But if you never make don’t
beat yourself up over it.
