On the way you stop at beautiful Whitehaven beach for swimming
beach combing and a hike to Eagles Landing at Hill Inlet. On Sunday
we explore the coral chasms of Hook and Hardy Reefs.
Blue Pearl Bay, Hayman Island
Before staying overnight at Hardy Reef. On Monday you will visit
Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island where you can go ashore for a walk
or to the beach. Cruise through breathtaking Nara Inlet to see the
aboriginal rock art then to Cid Harbour for our overnight anchorage.
On Tuesday, you will hike to the lookout at Cid Harbour then cruise
via the Molle group of islands before disembarking at Shute Harbour
or Hamilton Island. Included in the price is all meals with morning
and afternoon tea, Snorkeling. and fishing gear, guided walks and
glass bottom boat tours.

The Barron Falls Station has great views of the magnificent waterfall,
particularly during or soon after a good rainy season. Visit the
CSIRO Interpretative Centre at Barron Falls Station for more than
you need to know about he plants and animals of the area.
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is open from 8.15am to 5.15pm all year
except for Christmas Day. Gondolas swing continually from all stations
commencing at 8:30am till 4:00pm. The whole trips last and hour
and a half one-way with twenty minutes at each station. Like who
you are with is my advice.
23 (42) The Barron Falls Lookout walk
Near Kuranda you’ll find the impressive Barron Falls, The
Barron Falls (Din Din) lookout walk is only 600m long and highly
rewarding for such little effort. The walk begins with an elevated
boardwalk traversing the rainforest, which then winds its way down
the hill past several lookout points to the railway platform.

The Barron Falls (Din Din) Lookout walk is relatively easy to do
and is a wonderful way to view these huge falls.
Be warned that in the rainy season a cloud of mist may obscure
the view of the falls.

Kuranda train provides spectacular views of the Gorge and the Barron
River far below.

has its own unique appeal and is a must see kinda / must live here
kinda place.
Byron Bay - Nimbin & Rainforest Day Tour
Leaving from Brisbane you head to world famous Byron Bay. You will
have two hours here to check out the beach and go to Australia's
most Easterly Point at Cape Byron Lighthouse. From this magical
viewpoint, whales, dolphins, sharks, rays, turtles and schools of
fish may be seen, not to mention the rocky cliffs, rolling pacific
ocean waves crashing in and the rugged coast extending for miles.
Byron Bay is an alternative town so you should take the opportunity
to have a good wander through the shops, cafes and galleries in
the town centre (yes it is on the beach for those who just want
the sun).
Next you head through the Byron Hinterland with its rolling green
hills, colourful locals and fruit plantations on the way to Nimbin
Hippy Village.
Nimbin Hippy Village
Nimbin is not your normal town. It was changed forever after the
Aquarius Festival of 1972 and you stay for 1.5 hours so you can
find out what it is all about. Enjoy chatting with the locals and
sampling the great local produce at the cafes and restaurants.
The museum and galleries are also well worth the trip to this lush
part of the world.
Leaving Nimbin takes us up into the high country and through Numinbah
Mountain Pass back into Queensland.
Springbrook National Park's, Natural Bridge
On the way you’ll stop at Springbrook National Park's Natural
Bridge. The Springbrook National Park's Natural Bridge is an amazing
natural structure is set in World Heritage Rainforest. The guides
will explain rainforest features and take you through the caves
and waterfall circuit. A great relaxing way to finish up the day
before getting back to Brisbane around 6pm.
